The prompt reaction and true dedication by the South African Police Service in Limpopo has shown vast results lately during the tracing of the reported missing persons.
Every time when a person is reported missing, the case is treated with much sensitivity and as a matter of urgency. The relevant role players including the Police Search and Rescue Unit in conjunction with members of the community at large work beyond the call of duty until the recovery whether dead or alive.
In the past few weeks, this search operations produced positive results when the following missing persons were successfully reunited with their loved once:
The police in Polokwane have managed to found Shadi Kakaretso Mohlahlodi aged 24 years from Penina Park in the outskirts of Polokwane. She was reported missing on 13 April 2018 after leaving her home without notifying anyone where she was going and was safely recovered on 22 May 2018.
Meanwhile the police in Thohoyandou have successfully traced the following persons:
* 84-year-old man Shadrack Ndanduleni Rambauli
* Livhuwani Lufuno Ramatsea aged 30 of Phiphidi village
* Portia Ramahada aged 17 of Khubvi village
* Mugwedi Tshavhungwe aged 17 of Makwarela location
The police in Waterval outside Makhado managed to track down the family of a boy who was found roaming in and around Elim Mall on 24 May 2018. Police investigations revealed that the boy visited his aunt at Magangeni village just 4km from the mall.
He lost his way to the place and found himself stranded at the mall. He was safely handed to his grandmother at Dakari village near Malamulele.
