Western Cape: This morning, 7 March 2018 just before 05:00, a tracing operation was held in the Lingelethu-West area, which led to the arrest of two brothers, aged 18 and 32 years. The arrest follows after a case of pointing of a firearm at a 30 year old victim was registered on Saturday 3 March 2018 in the area.  During the operation police confiscated two firearms and ammunition.

Both men were arrested and will appear in the Khayelitsha Magistrates’ Court on Friday 9 March 2018, on cases of pointing of a firearm, possession of an illegal firearm and possession of ammunition.

The SAPS Management in the province commended the members for removing illegal firearms from the streets of Khayelitsha.
