LIMPOPO SAPS NEWS: Police continue to Crack illegal Poaching Syndicates

GIYANI - Strategies to fight the acts of illegal poaching in this Province, continue to yield meaningful results.

In the Giyani Policing precinct, a special Intelligence led Joint operation with NIU (Rhino8) was conducted on 2018-01-28 and has managed to crack yet another possible illegal poaching syndicate when they effected an arrest at Mbaula village.

During this operation, a 36-year-old suspect was arrested for illegal poaching and the following was recovered:

  • Four (04) x elephant tusks (ivory)

The suspect will appear before the Giyani Magistrate's Court today.

The Police investigations are still continuing.
