GIYANI- The Police in Giyani have arrested a 20 year old man for alleged murder following a heated argument between two learners (aged 14 and 15) which occurred at Mbangezike High School in Xikukwani village.
After these arguments, the 15 year old pupil called his elder brother aged 20 and they both followed the 14 year old learner to his home where the 20 year old man allegedly stabbed him with a sharp object killing him instantly.
Subsequent to this killing, the Xikukwani residents went on a rampage and torched the suspect's home with everything inside.
The Police were summoned to the scene and responded immediately and initial investigations ensued.
The situation is now normalised but the Public Order Police are still monitoring the area.
The suspect will appear before Giyani Magistrate’s Court soon on a charge of murder.
There are no arrests at this stage in connection with the torching of the house and the suspects responsible for it are still unknown.
Anyone with information about the suspects involved in this matter may contact Colonel Chris Mabasa at 082 469 0739 or the Crime Stop number at 0860010111 or SMS Crime Line at 32211.
